The Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (B.N.Y.S.) is a degree programme in the field of naturopathy and yoga therapy. A B.N.Y.S. graduate can practice anywhere in India.

Yoga therapy may be defined as the application of Yogic principles to a subject with an objective of achieving spiritual, psychological or physiological healing or simply development. This comprises application of meditation, study of scriptures, chanting etc. among a variety of other practices to meet the objectives of the subject.

Naturopathy is a form of alternative medicine system that employs an array of scientific and pseudo-scientific practices which are natural, non-invasive, self-healing in nature.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility conditions for entrance to BNYS course are that a candidate must have passed the 12th examination or equivalent with Science subjects obtaining at least 50% in Biology and 50% aggregate marks in Physics & Chemistry. The candidate must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the current year.

Duration
Overall, the BNYS course duration is 5.5 years, which includes both the academic and internship components.
After completing the 4.5-year undergraduate program, students are required to undergo a mandatory one-year internship to gain hands-on experience in the field.
